Key Responsibilities: Performs clerical support for the department of Planning, Design and Construction at MSU’s Strategic Infrastructure Planning and Facilities. Answers incoming telephone calls and directs calls appropriately, maintains a capital project filing system, performs data entry of time records, runs departmental errands, greets and assists customers, prepares and distributes various project correspondence and memorandums, sorts and distributes mail, organizes meetings, and performs other administrative duties as assigned by supervisor. The Student Assistant I will sit in the Office of the Vice President for Strategic Infrastructure Planning and Facilities. Therefore, business/business casual attire is required. Key Requirements: · Exceptional communication and customer service skills · Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment · Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook · Ability to work efficiently with others as well as independently · Motivated self-starter Applicants are required to work a minimum of 12 hours per week during fall and spring academic semesters. Applicants must be available to work 40 hours per week during summer breaks.
