About this Job About this Job Work takes place in a multi-disciplinary, professional campus construction office at MSU’s Infrastructure Planning and Facilities building (Chestnut and Trowbridge Road). The aid will work as an assistant to the Construction Project Managerial staff. Campus projects include new buildings, renovations to spaces needing upgrades, and various other upgrades to the campus infrastructure. Job tasks include: - Construction document preparation and reviewing drawings - Performing engineering calculations and analysis - Site inventory including site photography, field notes, agendas and field measurements - General assistance with printing, copying, scanning and filing. - Professional communication (phone and e-mail) with campus customers & in-house designers Desired schedule: -Preferred starting date would occur prior to end of summer to allow for some training. This would involve approximately 12-23 hours/week during school semester -32-40 hours/week during the summer of 2018 Applicant note: Open to any of the College of Engineering and School of Planning, Design and Construction majors Freshmen/Sophomore/Junior class level are all acceptable Must have a valid driver’s license to operate University vehicles Contact: Please fill out application on MSU Handshake.
