IPF works to prepare spaces for new faculty
Faculty Readiness Project (FRP) is a new initiative to improve the transition of hiring new employees by ensuring they have everything they need to get started before they move into their new workspace. FRP is a joint effort between Planning and Space Management from Office of Planning and Budgets Facilities and Planning, Design and Construction from IPF. IPF’s Sean O’Connor receives Jack Breslin Distinguished Staff Award
MSU IPF is pleased to announce that Sean O’Connor, Landscape Services manager, is one of the winners of the 2015 Jack Breslin Distinguished Staff Award at Michigan State University. To be nominated, an MSU employee must demonstrate strong and innovative leadership and embody the Spartan Spirit. 

IPF provides spring cooling reminder to MSU
Focused on safety and sustainability, Michigan State University follows a systematic and environmentally conscious plan when cooling campus buildings during the warmer months of the year. Each year, MSU expects to be ready to provide cooling to campus facilities in mid-spring. An exact date is dependent upon weather trends and sustained above-freezing temperatures. T.B. Simon Power Plant going to “no coal” in 2016
In a move that will reduce emissions at its T.B. Simon Power Plant as well as significantly advance its Energy Transition Plan, Michigan State University is taking steps to stop burning coal by the end of 2016, with a majority of coal purchasing and burning ending in 2015. Check out the full story.
