Old College Field Renovations – Phase VII – Entrance Plaza and Electrical/Communication Upgrades

Project phase: Archived

Michigan State University is in the process of improving its baseball, softball and soccer facilities to create a unified collegiate complex intended to heighten the athletic experience for players, coaches and visitors. Work is complete on the batting and pitching facility, the DeMartin Soccer Complex, McLane Baseball Stadium at Kobs Field, the concessions/restroom building and Secchia Stadium (softball). The 2006 master plan calls for an entrance plaza to welcome visitors through a centralized gateway, a donor plaza and a ticketing building. In addition, the electrical and communications systems, including lighting, are in need of updates.

Old College Field is located north of Jenison Field House in the Athletic and Recreation District. This project involves construction of a new ticketing building, gateway to all three venues, pedestrian and bicycle paths, and a donor plaza. The project will also provide permanent power, communications and broadcast connections to Old College Field from Jenison Field House.
