Parking Lot 63 - reconstruction and expansion

Project phase: Planning/Design

Project background

  • Parking Lot 63, located south of the Breslin Center, was constructed in 1989.
  • The pavement structure has deteriorated to a point that full reconstruction of the existing lot is now necessary.
  • In addition, the current entrance from Harrison Road is too big, causing safety concerns.  It also reduces the available spaces in the lot.

Project details

  • As planning begins, it is anticipated that this project will include full depth replacement of the lot, replacement of the parking pay booth with pay to park kiosks, improved storm water management, and a net increase in parking spaces.

The project is located on the south side of Breslin Center at the corner of Harrison and Shaw Lane in the service district.  The expansion is consistent with the Campus Master Plan.
