IPF urges caution on campus after major winter storm
Dec. 23, 2013
The winter storm that wreaked havoc in mid-Michigan over the weekend has also left its mark on Michigan State University.
Infrastructure Planning and Facilities is working diligently in response to the storm. Crews are:
- clearing snow and ice from sidewalks, parking lots and roads;
- removing fallen limbs from the landscape and pruning those that are in danger of falling; and
- placing caution tape around potentially dangerous zones.
The campus community is urged to use extreme caution while navigating around campus during this time. While many limbs have already fallen, many more are at risk of falling due to the weight of the snow and ice.
The IPF Landscape Services team anticipates the campus cleanup will take weeks.
Your cooperation during this cleanup period is appreciated. To report potentially dangerous spots on campus (hanging limbs, icy zones, etc.), contact IPF Dispatch at (517) 353-1760.
