Secure IT introduces: Two-factor authentication

March 2, 2015

An additional layer of protection will be added to MSU’s Enterprise Business Systems March 16 to April 13. Once completed, all MSU employees will need a 6-digit code in addition to their MSU NetID and password to log in to EBS. All MSU employees are asked to register two or more credentials (e.g., office phone, mobile app) with the two-factor system now through April 12.

Two-factor authentication will be activated on a rolling basis beginning with employees who access it frequently (e.g., central office, IT, and security contacts) on March 16, and concluding with roles requiring less EBS usage (employees with access limited to ESS, employee self-service) on April 13.

Visit for complete information including instructions on registering credentials and the activation schedule.
