Working together to make MSU grow
Dec. 22, 2015
Michigan State University's Infrastructure Planning and Facilities partners with the Landscape Maintenance Field Lab on campus to provide the students an opportunity to learn best planting practices. The students head out in the field with professionals from IPF's Landscape Services. This is an opportunity the lab and Landscape Services try to put together every fall and spring.
This fall they installed landscaping at the new Bio Engineering Facility on Service Road. Marcus Duck, specialist in Agriculture and Natural Resources, explains what the students are doing in the lab, “We’re going over proper planting practices and how to lay out plant material using a design that’s been given to us. We go over the basic principles that have been given to us to make sure the plants live as long as they’re supposed to on the site.”
