MSU's Campus Cable Television Network serves department buildings, residence halls and university apartments owned and operated by Michigan State University. The network features three levels of service:
- Instructional Television (ITV) — local channels, Instructional Channels (IVS) and other free-to-air channels. No monthly recurring fees but one-time installation fee. See cable lineup.
- Entertainment Television (ETV) — popular entertainment channels. See the cable lineup. Monthly recurring fees and one-time installation fee.
- Comcast digital package — pay programming that includes an extended HD lineup with the options of HBO, Cinemax and more as well as DVR recording service. This service package is not accepting new users.
The MSU Campus Cable Television Network is run by MSU Infrastructure Planning and Facilities’s Telecommunication Systems in partnership with MSU Broadcasting Services, Residential and Hospitality Services and IT Services. The network provides crystal-clear, HD-quality content from many different sources such as satellite, cable and local stations, including WKAR. MSU is able to provide on-campus residents nearly 90 channels of content included in their room and board rate.
