Funded landscape services

Landscaping services that are funded generally by Michigan State University include:

  • The installation and maintenance of horticultural material, plant life and outdoor amenities;
  • Nursery services such as providing woody plant specimens from its nursery, greenhouse support for plant materials used in Beal Botanical Garden and the planned campus, providing care for vegetation such as trees, shrubs, perennials and ground cover and promoting the expansion of campus plant life;
  • Snow and ice removal;
  • Maintenance of surfaces such as roads, bridges, sidewalks, building entrances, bike paths and terraces, as well as the upkeep of parking lots and ramps. (Malfunctioning parking gates should be reported to the MSU Police Department at (517) 355-8440.
