Generator testing

What is being done?

Testing of the life-safety generators, as a monthly requirement of the National Fire Protection Agency.

Each generator will be tested ONCE monthly. Testing will take place Monday through Friday, from 6:15 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. (unless otherwise indicated). Crews will begin Monday, June 7, and conclude on Wednesday, June 30.

Why is this being done?

Testing is a monthly requirement of the National Fire Protection Agency.

How will this impact building occupants?

Power will be interrupted to all equipment on the life-safety generator (stairwell lighting, exit lights, fire alarm systems, phone systems, etc.). This shutdown will not affect normal building power.
