Southbound Red Cedar Road closure for installation of a crane

Road closure
Saturday and Sunday only, there will be a closure of Red Cedar Road southbound between Wilson Road and DPPS. These are the lanes closest to DPPS. The northbound lanes of Red Cedar Road and the sidewalk detour in front of the Communication Arts and Sciences building and Ramp 5 will remain open.
A project erection crane will be installed on the construction site at the northeast corner. This is similar to the crane that was installed to help erect the Plant and Environmental Sciences Building nearby.
During this work, the north entrance to MSU PD and the pedestrian cross walk across Red Cedar at MSU PD will be closed. The drive leaving the Communication Arts and Sciences building and Lot 52 will be available to travel north on Red Cedar Road only.
Southbound traffic will route down Chestnut Road to Wilson Road.
