IPF maintenance and construction notices

Construction will begin on the new Multicultural Center, which will support the overall mission and goals of Michigan State University to foster a diverse, inclusive and equitable environment. The location is the northeast corner of the North Shaw Lane and Farm Lane intersection; west of Shaw Hall.

Shutdown of steam and condensate to the building. Shutdown of these services are required for removal and reconfiguration of the steam and condensate piping for the building addition.

Renovations to the third, fourth and penthouse levels in the East Wing to provide environmentally-controlled special collections storage space and HVAC upgrades.

Closure of the sidewalk and creation of a staging area on the northeast corner of the building to accommodate the Special Collections and HVAC upgrades on the east wing of the Main Library on the third and fourth floors.

Commencement of construction for the Phase 2 segment of the project to replace the Farm Lane bridge which has reached the end of its useful life.

Replacement of elevators 1 and 2, which have reached the end of their useful life.

Renovations to create new dept. teaching lab space.

There will be construction for new walls within Suite 256 to create new private offices.

Renovations to rooms C616 and C618 to create a collaborative space for faculty and students.

Completing plumbing repairs and upgrades, installing new flooring, and painting walls. The plumbing fixtures are failing and coordinated upgrades are occurring.
