Construction of a new Dairy Teaching and Research facility, which will build on MSU’s strength as a globally recognized leader in animal and veterinary science and agricultural engineering.

Phase 1 of this project involves renovations and ADA modifications to West Akers Hall Rooms 289, 290, 389, 390, 489, 490, 589, 590, 689, 690. The rooms are located on either side of the elevator on floors 2-6.

Fire hydrant flushing may result in water discoloration. Fire hydrants are flushed annually to inspect, provide reliability, clean and scour the piping to our water system.

A new automatic building steam valve is being installed.

Removing HVAC equipment from the roof to create space for the new HVAC equipment for Clinical Center D-Wing.

The HVAC controls in the rooms are being upgraded to digital controls due to obsolete parts.

Temporary closure of Parking Lot 38, a portion of the Erickson Drive Loop, and adjacent sidewalks for installation of new ductile iron water main as part of the Farm Lane Bridge/Road Reconstruction and Infrastructure Improvements project.

Construction commencement, loop closure and relocation of ADA parking spaces.

Alterations to rooms C514 and C517 to create renovated classroom space as well as a computer lounge/copy room.

Plumbing fixture replacement and piping to the riser in rooms as part of the construction project to renovate apartments.
