In December 2008, it was announced that the U.S. Department of Energy had named Michigan State University’s National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory (NSCL) as the new home to the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) project.
The Breslin Student Events Center needs upgrades in order to enhance the student, alumni, fan and public experience. This project will improve the functionality of the center, extend the useful life of the building, improve services to the fans and create a lasting legacy by integrating a sense of Spartan tradition throughout the facility.
This project will not only provide additional family and apartment-style housing, but will also provide mixed-use space which will serve to consolidate offices for both RHS and Intercollegiate Athletics as well as provide space for retail operations.
