Bronze Cows Find a Home at MSU's New Dairy Center

During the summer, the IPF teams took on a project that was anything but ordinary.  

At Michigan State University's new Dairy Cattle Teaching and Research Center along College Road, the teams installed two bronze cow statues at the facility entrance, creating a unique welcome for visitors, students and researchers.  

While the finished display may appear simple, moving and installing large-scale artwork requires careful planning, specialized equipment and trained personnel. IPF assists with the effort and helps to coordinate the transportation, placement and final installation of the statues to ensure each was safely secured and positioned as intended.  

The project highlights a lesser-known part of the team's work. In addition to supporting campus building services, which IPF is widely known for, IPF assists with many art installations across campus. With the variety and years of expertise located within IPF, the teams can work together to safely handle large, heavy and delicate pieces while helping bring the vision to life.  

Today, the bronze cows stand as a distinctive feature of the new dairy facility, celebrating MSU's longstanding connection to agriculture and animal science.
