IPF Landscape services was thrilled to host a health fair aimed at providing their staff with the opportunity to put their physical health and well-being first. This event was able to occur thanks to collaboration by IPF’s Workforce Engagement Recognition and Inclusion subcommittee and the College of Osteopathic Medicine. The Community Integrated Medicine (CIM) student organization at the MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine visited IPF Landscape Services this fall to provide a free Health Fair!

At CIM health fairs, medical students provide free basic health screenings that include blood pressure, cholesterol and blood glucose testing. They also provide information on local resources, nutrition, healthy lifestyles, cancer screenings and vaccinations, all tailored to the individual's needs through one-on-one interaction.

University Health and Wellbeing staff attended to share additional campus information with employees.

More health fairs will be planned to ensure each IPF department has access to free health screenings and medical professional resources.

Health Screenings Included:

  • Height/weight BMI
  • Eye examinations
  • Muscle strength
  • Blood pressure
  • Heart and lungs screening
  • Blood glucose

A physician was on site to talk with employees individually regarding any other specific health issues.
