These extended-hours evenings are a new series of events, during which Hidden Lake Gardens will stay open until 7:00 p.m. on one Friday each month from March through October. Each date will feature a unique educational program from 5:30–6:30 p.m. led by our Managing Director, Paul Pfeifer. The details, dates, and monthly topics are outlined below.

The Conservatory, Sky Walk, Visitors Center and Gift Shop will also remain open unless otherwise noted.

Included with regular HLG admission, free to members of HLG.
Come enjoy a relaxed, enriching evening each month as the gardens change through the seasons!

Forcing Bulbs for Indoor Blooms: How Does HLG Do It?

Learn how our team creates early spring color indoors through bulb chilling, timing, and expert care.

From 5:30–6:30 PM, guests are encouraged to join the featured walk‑and‑talk program, Forcing Bulbs for Indoor Blooms – How Does HLG Do It? This immersive experience will guide participants through the behind-the-scenes process of bulb forcing and provide a rare look into Conservatory areas not usually open to the public.

As a bonus, the Spring Flower Show located in the Temperate House of our Conservatory will remain open to allow visitors an expanded opportunity to enjoy the vibrant seasonal displays. Please note: The Sky Walk will not be open late on this date.
