What is being done?
The City of East Lansing is updating the stormwater / wastewater system along this section of Grand River Ave.
- Grand River (full shutdown, both directions) from approximately June 1, 2026 through July 17, 2026, between Gunson Street and Woodmere Ave. (see Figure 1 below).
- Grand River will be restricted down to one lane in both directions from July 17, 2006 through August 21-22, 2026, within the same region extending to the east.

How will this impact building occupants?
- The section of Grand River Ave. between Gunson St. and Windmere Ave. will be under construction with reduced or closed lanes causing traffic detours.
- Mail delivery and City trash/recycling collections will not be disrupted during construction. Trash and recycling should be placed on or near the curb as normal.
Please obey all construction barriers, mind all flagmen and patrol officers, and follow posted detours. Your cooperation and patience during this time is appreciated.
