Facility asset mapping/inspection
What is being done?
Building system assets will be inventoried, photographed and bar coded.
Why is this being done?
To collect data for maintenance and capital planning purposes for Infrastructure Planning and Facilities.
How will this impact building occupants?
IPF staff will need to access all rooms within the facility. Areas with restricted access will be coordinated with the building manager or the occupants.
Fume hood shutdowns will be needed for roof access and bar coding of the fume hood fans. Fume hood shutdowns will be coordinated with the building manager and scheduled with a separate building notice.
Who can I contact for more information?
Sue Alchin, asset mapping coordinator, at 517-230-4504 or alchins@msu.edu.
