Start Time = 8:00 a.m. Note: All participants must arrive before the entry gate closes at 7:15 a.m.

The most scenic and hilliest course in southeast Michigan! Come enjoy a beautiful fall morning at Hidden Lake Gardens for the 15th Annual Run for the Hills! 1 Mile & 5K Run or Walk along paved trails. Proceeds from the race will benefit Hidden Lake Gardens and Oh! These Irish Hills.

Register by August 15 to receive the early bird pricing discount. Late registration will be available starting August 16 until 7:30 a.m. the day of the race. Registration is only available online via credit card purchase.

Fees:

$35 Early Bird Pricing until August 15, 2025
$45 Late Registration starting August 16, 2025
$10 Children 14 and Younger

All participants will receive a participation medal. Only participants registered by August 31 are guaranteed a T-shirt. Registration includes entry into Hidden Lake Gardens and the Reach for the Sky Canopy Walk.

Here are all the race day details you need to know:

Location: Hidden Lake Gardens, 6214 W. Monroe (M-50), Tipton, MI US 49287 | (517) 431-2060

Entrance: On race day, the entrance gate will open at 6:45 a.m. and will close at 7:15 a.m. For race participants' safety, once the gate is closed, entry or exit will not be permitted until 9:00 a.m. Pets will not be allowed entry into HLG for the race.

Registered participants gain free entry into Hidden Lake Gardens. All others are required to pay an entrance fee. Cash and credit cards accepted.

$10 Adults (ages 18–64)
$8 Seniors (age 65+)
$8 Military and Veterans
$5 Students
Ages 4 and under are free.

Packet Pick-up:

Friday, September 12 from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 13 from 6:45 - 7:30 a.m. (Note: The main entrance will close at 7:15 a.m.)

Use the QR code found in your email at packet pickup for a quick and easy check-in!

Please note: If you are picking up your packet in advance, you will not be charged admission to HLG. You can also have someone pick up your packet on your behalf--just make sure they have your QR code.

Schedule: The 5k run/walk and 1 mile walk will start at 8:00 a.m. The course will be open until 9:30 a.m. Please note all 5K participants must be able to finish the course in 90 minutes.

Race day parking: Available at the race location, Hidden Lake Gardens. Park as directed upon arrival.

Awards: Awards will be distributed after the race at the awards table to the Top Overall Male and Female runners and walkers as well as a Randow Draw Winner. All finishers will receive a medal at the finish line.

Results: After the race you can find your individual results using the link provided in your email. The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted live during the race and online at this website. A complete listing of 2024 results can be found HERE.
