Room closure
Throughout campus, but especially Wells Hall, STEM Building, IM West and People’s Park, MSU will host the 2025 Odyssey of the Mind World Finals event May 19-25. We will accommodate approximately 6,000 attendees who will stay on campus and another 3,500 staying in area hotels as they participate in this global competition. Participants range from elementary age to college students. Learn more.
- All faculty, staff and students should prepare for heavy foot traffic and limited building use in the area surrounding Wells Hall and the STEM Building May 20-25. The A-Wing of Wells Hall will be inaccessible to students, faculty and staff.
- People’s Park will have tents set up for pin trading among attendees, and there will be bullhorn usage throughout the week, so expect noise during daytime hours.
- On Saturday, May 24, an after-party will take place at Munn Field from 9 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. for Odyssey participants and their families. The party will feature DJs playing music, food service for guests, and inflatable activities
We appreciate your understanding of increased traffic due to the presence of a large population not necessarily familiar with MSU’s campus. Please travel with caution.
Thank you for your patience as we work to extend our warm Spartan hospitality to these young participants and their families as they stay in the residence halls, visit the dining halls and enter academic buildings.
