Brody Neighborhood, Brody Road and Parking Lot 65

Brody Neighborhood, Brody Road & Parking Lot 65

Road closure

What is being done?

Installation of sanitary sewer pipes.

Why is this being done?

Due to unforeseen underground conditions, the parking area and roadway need to be temporarily closed to allow adequate space for proper pipe installation and site safety.

How will this impact building occupants?

Approximately 30 parking spaces will be closed in the southwest corner of Parking Lot 65, along with periodic closures to through traffic on Brody Road adjacent to the work area.  All vehicles need to be moved out of the closed parking area before 8 a.m. on Feb. 12. Through traffic in the Brody Neighborhood is advised to use the north Harrison Road or Michigan Avenue entrances during this time.  Local traffic to Bailey Hall and Emmons Hall, along with all remaining parking areas in Lot 65 will remain open during this time.

The City of East Lansing has set up a project website (link below) to relay traffic restriction locations, dates, and general project information.
