Construction will begin on the northwest corner of the Red Cedar Road and Wilson Road intersection.
The new Engineering and Digital Innovation Center will provide a modern structure dedicated to digital learning and laboratories supporting experimental and computational research, along with community spaces supporting informal gathering and collaboration.
Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, February 2, 2026, with substantial completion by December 2028.

- There will be an increase in construction vehicle traffic entering/exiting the construction site.
- General noise and dust typical of a construction project of this size should be expected.
- Temporary pedestrian/vehicular routing changes will occur during the project.
- Parking Lots 56 and 57 will permanently close beginning Monday, March 9, 2026; alternate parking should be arranged prior to this date.
- Red Cedar Road throughway (at the Wilson Road intersection) will permanently close beginning July 2027.
- The new Stadium Road throughway (between Wilson Road and West Shaw Lane) will open effective August 2027.
- Existing structures on the northwest corner will be razed to accommodate the new facility.
Please obey all construction site signage, fencing and pedestrian/vehicular detours. Be extra aware of construction vehicles entering/exiting the site. Campus visitors and those unfamiliar with the area should be advised of potential travel disruptions at/near the construction site prior to their visit.
