Red Cedar Road temporary road closure between Wilson Road and Shaw Lane

Red Cedar Road will be closed to all traffic to facilitate infrastructure work crossing the roadway in preparation for the Leinweber Center for Engineering and Digital Innovation building. 

• Vehicles: Red Cedar Road will be closed to through traffic. All vehicles will be detoured to Farm Lane or Chestnut Road.
• Loading Dock Access: A dedicated access lane to the Engineering Building loading dock will remain open and accessible throughout the duration of the project.
• Pedestrians/Bikes: Please refer to the posted signage for specific sidewalk or bike lane diversions.
• Signage: Detailed wayfinding and detour signage will be staged at key intersections in coordination with Hoffman Brothers and MSU Facilities.

Map below shows pedestrian detour (blue line) on the east side (near Engineering Building) of Red Cedar Road between Shaw Lane and Wilson Road. Limited parking is available (orange shaded area) in Lot 57. 

Map below shows the section of Red Cedar Road being closed between Shaw Lane and Wilson Road. It also shows the closure of Farm Lane Road between Shaw Lane and Trowbridge Road. Wilson Road between Red Cedar Road and Bogue Street has a section of closed road. Access to Lot 49 is available from the east. Access to Lot 46 is available from the west side of Wilson Road.
