14th annual Run for the Hills! 5K at Hidden Lake Gardens

Enjoy a beautiful fall day in Tipton, Michigan and support a good cause by joining us for the 14th annual Run for the Hills! 5K and 1 mile Run/Walk on September 14, 2024! Located just 70 minutes south of East Lansing, the Gardens welcome visitors from all over the state, region and country.
Whether you’re an experienced runner or just starting out, the Run for the Hills! course along paved paths is both challenging and fun. Register by August 31 for the early bird discount.
Your registration supports both Hidden Lake Gardens and Oh These Irish Hills – two organizations at the center of the Irish Hills region in southeastern Michigan. Participants will also have access to all attractions at Hidden Lake Gardens on the day of the race, including the Reach for the Sky Canopy Walk, open in June 2023.

Oh, These Irish Hills is a non-profit organization formed in 2004. Their stated purpose is to advance the Irish Hills legacy involving area individuals, groups, and organizations in activities that celebrate the beauty of the place, the spirit of its people, and the progression of its history.
About Hidden Lake Gardens
Hidden Lake Gardens (HLG) is owned and operated by MSU under Infrastructure Planning and Facilities, but supported through admission fees, endowments, gifts and the "Friends of Hidden Lake Gardens" membership program. The 755-acre botanical garden and arboretum features a lake, picnic area, canopy walk, conservatory, six miles of paved scenic drives,12 miles of hiking trails, and a year-round calendar of events. The property includes a vast range of native and non-native plants that can be found in both indoor and outdoor plant collections including the Bonsai Courtyard, Harper Rare & Dwarf Conifer Collection, and Hosta Hillside. The at-tree level Reach for the Sky Canopy Walk, opened in 2023, allows visitors a one-of-a-kind experience with up-close observation of the forest. Open all four seasons to offer a peaceful refuge to enjoy the beauty of nature.
