Get to know IPF: Anita Eberhard

In her 25-year career at IPF, Building Services administrative assistant Anita Eberhard has experienced a lot of change, but one thing that hasn’t changed is her positive attitude.

Eberhard is a firm believer in positivity and radiates it every day.

“You should try to always have a positive outlook,” Eberhard said. “It’s never as bad as it seems, and it can always be worse.”

Eberhard’s duties include uniform ordering, reconciling timecards, and assisting the university event staff with scheduling skilled trades employees working football games, among other duties. One of her favorite things is working with and mentoring student staff.

“I feel that my attitude reflects where I work,” she said. “When I’m positive and encouraging about IPF, it helps students feel the same.”

Outside of work, Eberhard enjoys science fiction movies, gardening and travel, with Ireland being one of her choice destinations. She is also somewhat of a mad scientist, creating her own line of lotions and lotion bars.

“I noticed in regular lotions alcohol was one of the ingredients, and alcohol dries your skin so when you apply lotion it only lasts for a short period of time,” Eberhard said. “I had to do a lot of research on ingredients and how to incorporate different types of ingredients to make them work together.”

Whether blending up a batch of skin-care products, or keeping her office running like a well-oiled machine, Eberhard knows how to create harmony.
