Red water alert

What is being done?

Hydrant flushing across the entire campus. Flushing will take place from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on weekdays.

Why is this being done?

To flush sediment from water mains, to ensure operation and maintenance of hydrants and to prepare to bring the new water filtration plant online.

How will this impact building occupants?

During this work, some discoloration of the water supply may occur throughout campus. However, this discoloration is harmless in terms of sanitation and safety.

Special precautions that need to be taken: The temporary discoloration of the water may discolor clothing if used for laundry.
