Biomedical Animal Resources – Provision for Large Animal Imaging – Clinical Center

Overview of Scope
This project is anticipated to repurpose the existing imaging suite in the Clinical Center to accommodate large animal imaging. The project will use existing infrastructure where possible, and update building systems, particularly ventilation, to accommodate new MRI and PET Scan equipment. New animal holding rooms will be constructed and existing equipment will be removed and replaced.
Goals include developing a shared research facility supporting growth in biomedical research using state-of-the-art imaging equipment, fostering scientific collaboration among investigators, and providing opportunities for industry engagement.
