International Center and Wells Hall

International Center and Wells Hall

HVAC maintenance

What is being done?

Chilled water system flush and replacement of isolation valves

Why is this being done?

To chemically clean the chilled water system that serves Wells Hall and to facilitate the ongoing heating system upgrade.

How will this impact building occupants?

The cooling systems in all of Wells Hall and heating systems in in both C and D buildings will be affected. Occupants could see a temperature drop during the project.  IPF will increase discharge air temperature of the main HVAC fans to help heat the building.  During the shutdown, isolation valves will be replaced to help facilitate the ongoing heating system upgrade.

The International Center back dock will be impacted during this project.  A large vacuum truck is being staged at the far south lane of the International Center back dock. Therefore, that part of the back dock will be closed. There is also the possibility of excessive noise and possible harmless odor during this work.
