Veterinary Research (Building J)

An electrical outage will occur briefly from 7-7:30 a.m. while the building is placed on generator service and will remain on generators throughout the day while the work is being performed. There will be a second 30-minute outage when the building is placed back on normal power by the end of the day at approximately 5 p.m., or possibly sooner.

• It is recommended that facility occupants power down computers and sensitive laboratory equipment.
• Laboratory hood sashes should be lowered to prevent low air flow alarms and environmental rooms may alarm.
• Eyewashes and safety showers may be affected. Do not work with corrosive or injurious liquid chemicals where there is a possibility of a splash to the eyes or body during this time.
