What is being done?

Temporary shutdown of the emergency power to install feeder wires from the new fire pump controller. Power will be interrupted to all equipment on the generator (stairwell lighting, exit lights, fire alarm systems, phone systems, communication systems, etc.). This will not affect normal building power.

Why is this being done?

To safely remove feeder wires from the old fire pump controller on a de-energized circuit.

How will this impact building occupants?

During this shutdown, emergency power will become available after a short duration (10 seconds).

Special precautions that need to be taken: It is recommended that facility occupants power down computers and other sensitive equipment.
