Asbestos abatement

What is being done?

Abatement of asbestos-containing materials in Giltner Hall – Rms. 113, 113A, 117A, 115, 135, 117, 133, 120, 132G, 130, 121 and 122. During this project approximately 88 TSI fittings will be abated as part of the Giltner Hall – Replace Remaining Original Galvanized Piping (FY25) project. 

How will this impact building occupants?

The requester of this project is responsible for the removal of any furniture or other items which may inhibit the ability of the contractor to perform this abatement. Asbestos work areas are strictly off limits to persons who are not trained or directly involved with the project. Please respect all warning signs and danger tape.
