Central Control System Outage
Access to information normally provided through the Siemens Building Automation System will be unavailable while the servers and workstations are migrated from the PPLANT domain to Campus AD. This will affect Insight and Apogee Go (web) but will not impact Delta Controls interface. The PPLANT domain is being retired, so all servers, workstations, and user accounts must be migrated.
The control of HVAC systems should not be impacted. HVAC systems will continue to operate normally. Central Control staff will have limited ability to use Siemens Insight or Apogee Go to view HVAC systems or make changes. Access to building systems will change through the day as each server is migrated. As workstations are migrated, individual staff members will be affected. Every attempt will be taken to minimize the extent or length of impact.
Requests for schedule changes for Tuesday or Wednesday should be sent to Central Control before the noon on Monday, June 21.
William Lakos, Assistant Manager of Building Performance Services, at (517)432-0530 or lakos@msu.edu, or IPF at (517) 353-1760.
