IPF maintenance and construction notices

Construction will begin on the new Multicultural Center, which will support the overall mission and goals of Michigan State University to foster a diverse, inclusive and equitable environment. The location is the northeast corner of the North Shaw Lane and Farm Lane intersection; west of Shaw Hall.

Shutdown of steam and condensate to the building. Shutdown of these services are required for removal and reconfiguration of the steam and condensate piping for the building addition.

Renovations to the third, fourth and penthouse levels in the East Wing to provide environmentally-controlled special collections storage space and HVAC upgrades.

Closure of the sidewalk and creation of a staging area on the northeast corner of the building to accommodate the Special Collections and HVAC upgrades on the east wing of the Main Library on the third and fourth floors.

Extensive renovations to simulation lab spaces will require impacted rooms to be vacant. Work may require temporary utility shutdowns.

Modification of rooms 1410, 1420 and 1521 to expand existing aquatics lab space for new researchers.

Upgrade of Fire Alarm System due to a life cycle replacement.

Shutdown of both AHUs that feed the Clinical Center D-Wing, including associated chilled water and chiller unit, steam, associated controls, fire alarm, and power to AHUs for replacement of AHUs that feed Clinical Center D-Wing.

Temporary shutdown of hot and cold domestic water lines and hot water heating lines and air compressor lines.

Replacement of two existing animal cage washers in Room C132 with new improved units; along with repair of the leak in the cage washer pit.
