IPF Key Shop..."the powers that key"
Their team of locksmiths, access control experts, trades helpers and students:
- Process key requests.
- Respond to trouble calls (lockouts, lost keys, core changes).
- Install, repair and replace locks and other door hardware.
- Create new key codes.
- Key and re-key buildings.
- Check out temporary keys to IPF employees.
- Manage safe/vault codes.
- Core padlocks and filing cabinets.
- Basically...help keep campus running 24/7/365.
How can I get a key?
- Navigate to the Keys and Locks area on the IPF website and select “Keys Only Service Request form” under Key-Specific Services. Only those who are designated as authorized signers are allowed to request keys. Please refer to Section 225 of the Manual of Business Procedures for information on who in your area is an authorized signer.
How we partner with Residential and Hospitality Services (RHS)
- RHS gets residence hall keys from the IPF Key Shop after they have been cut, stamped, and recorded. After that, RHS oversees tracking and check out of these keys. If someone loses their keys, they should report it to RHS to get a spare and/or have their locks changed (a fee is charged).
If you've gotten great service from the IPF Key Shop, feel free to "sing our praises"...even if you are "off-key"!
