The painting department and carpentry shop were faced with a new challenge this year when a customer acquired a rustic taste for office furniture. IPF employees accepted the challenge, resulting in unique, beautiful pieces of Spartan teamwork and creativity.

Sparty’s toolbox is growing bigger by the week thanks to employees at IPF’s Maintenance Services. The newest addition, a chrome nutcracker, delighted Big10 fans on national TV in November when Sparty held it near Brutus the Buckeye’s giant head.

Get to know IPF: Brian Wolfe

As assistant manager of MSU’s Transportation Services department, Brian Wolfe has a significant impact on getting people where they need to go.  Wolfe oversees MSU’s motor pool consisting of over 400 vehicles, a bus operation that includes five biodiesel buses and long-term leasing of 280 vehicles.  

Promapp user bi-annual meeting honors IPF champions

On Nov. 5, the IPF Process Improvement/Promapp Team hosted the second user forum in Holden Hall — bringing together process champions from across IPF to engage in celebration of success, reflection on the project and collaborative skill building. 

Solar carport initiative earns national attention

The solar carport initiative called for installation of solar photovoltaics (PV) across five parking lots, covering 5,000 parking spaces on MSU’s campus. Construction started in March 2017 and was completed in December 2017. Since then, the project has received recognition around the country due to it being the largest carport solar array in North America.

Get to know IPF: Lisa Desprez

“I’ve loved connecting with people all across MSU’s campus,” said Desprez about the different transitions. “Every time things changed, I found new things to be passionate about.”
Desprez serves on many committees through IPF and the university. She is on the IPF Workforce Engagement subcommittee, the MSU Women’s Advisory Committee for Support Staff (WACSS) and the IPF Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee.

Students and IPF work together to plant new materials, build bridges

MSU Horticulture, Turfgrass and Urban Forestry students recently teamed up with IPF Landscape Services to install 275 plant specimens and material around the entrances of Conrad Hall.

Faculty Readiness Program

The Faculty Readiness Program (FRP) is a dedicated team from IPF and Facilities Planning and Space Management (FPSM) working together with colleges to proactively plan for new faculty hires, using various delivery methods to shorten bid periods and construction timelines.
